In Hong Kong, herbal teas - known as "leung cha" (see another illustration) - are an essential part of traditional Chinese medicine and are believed to prevent disease. Although the idea of beer and leung cha is not the same, people always say that beer is the English version of leung cha, perhaps both are with different varieties and the colours range from straw yellow, pale gold to deep brown or even black.
